Shenyang Lubricating Oil Factory (Co., Ltd.) has passed the 2025 Together for Sustainability (TfS) sustainable supply chain audit, securing international chemical industry recognition. It recently received an official thank-you certificate from TfS, a 2011 global chemical industry initiative focused on unified supply chain sustainability assessments. TfS General Manager Dr. Gabriele Inger noted in the certificate: “Thank you for joining our drive for greener chemical supply chains”. The TfS audit evaluates resource efficiency and supply chain accountability. This milestone validates the factory’s sustainable operations and strengthens its global supply chain partnerships.

Antioxidants are additives designed to prolong the life of a lubricant by increasing the oxidative resistance of the base oil. Antioxidants allow lubricants to operate at higher temperatures than would otherwise be possible without them.

The core function of anti-wear additives in engine oil is to reduce wear on engine metal components and extend service life, specifically reflected in: 1. Forming protective films: Creating adsorption films or reaction films on metal surfaces to isolate friction surfaces and avoid direct metal contact and scratching;   2. Adapting to complex working conditions: Coping with load changes such as engine startup and acceleration, especially alleviating dry friction when lubricating oil fails to reach in time during cold starts;   3. Protecting key components: Focusing on safeguarding precision and high-load components such as pistons, crankshafts, and bearings to reduce wear and tear.

Core Difference   Extreme pressure (EP) additives tackle metal sintering/welding under "extreme pressure and high temperature", while anti-wear (AW) additives solve wear problems under "medium and low loads". Key Differences 1. Application scenarios: EP additives are used for heavy loads and high temperatures (e.g., gear transmission); AW additives are used for medium and low loads (e.g., daily engine operation).   2. Working principles: EP additives form high-temperature-resistant protective films through chemical reactions to prevent metal adhesion and welding; AW additives mostly form adsorption films to reduce surface friction.   3. Common types: EP additives often use sulfur/phosphorus/chlorine-based compounds.
